A Cute Pink Cupcake

I occassionally take my 3 nieces to paint pottery.

It's a quiet, artistic, relaxing and fun time together.

This is something I painted recently at one of our get-togethers.

It's a trinket jar with the top part that can come off.

I just adore how it came out...
sometimes it's hard to tell till after the firing.

BTW-

If you've never painted ceramic pottery before,
 I highly recommend doing it!

It is so much fun!

You will find all sorts of seasonal items to paint, too.
(Makes the nicest homemade gifts!)

And with the biggest gift-giving season
just around the corner you have enough time to do so...

Think: teachers, mail carrier, pastor, neighbor, hostess gifts, etc.

Happy Pink Saturday!

  1. When my son was in grade school they took his class to a pottery shop and let them make a piece or I should say paint a piece. He chose a statue of a dog that looked like our Mandy. He painted it golden yellow just like her and I still have it to this day. That was about 30 years ago that he did it.

  6. My sister used to do this so I have quite a lot of ceramic pieces...my favorite is the Christmas tree. No, perhaps the Nativity. Your cupcake did turn out beautifully. Did your nieces also paint cupcakes?

  7. So cute! There is a "Crock a Doodle Pottery" near me that I've always wanted to try. It would be fun to paint my own teapot or teacup!

  15. I love your pink cupcake, Michele! I used to paint pottery years and years ago and went to a home in Worthington to do it.
It was fun watching the Buckeye game with my mom, and seeing all the hometown spirit!! We also went to Lynd's Fruit Farm and picked apples and went to their festival. Such fun for the two granddaughters!

  16. Hi Michele, Love your darling pink cupcake. My mother and I both worked in ceramics many years ago and loved it. It is amazing how special a piece can be after firing. This is darling. Have a blessed day. cm
