A Shamrock Themed Give-away!

WELL, yes of course, it's still cold and very snowy!

It snowed ALL DAY yesterday!

If you read my last post you will find I shared
my new lovely teacup I won recently.

I also wrote how it truly helped me out of my winter "funk."

SO, as one good turn deserves another-
I am all about paying forward a kindness!

I am hosting my own giveaway!
And shamrocks are the theme!

Are ye feelin' the luck of the Irish?

I have some thrifted items for you -
just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

The plate with a plastic stand is crazed,
the little teapot for one has a glaze chip
and the tea towel is quite stained.

(But they're so cute and they make a nice little vignette!)

Sorry due to the high cost of international shipping
this is only open to those who live in the Continental US.
(Please forgive me for that! I must be frugal!)

I only ask that you leave a comment,
and if you are a non-blogger
a way to reach you should your name be picked.

Of course I'd be delighted if you were a follower of my blog,
but it isn't a contingency, just a super nice thing to be.

The giveaway ends this Friday afternoon - March 6th.
All the names will go in a Bower Hat
and my daughter Katie will pick a name randomly.

I hope to get this out to the winner quickly
so she/he may enjoy the theme in time for Paddy's Day!

And before I say adieu here are some winter pics to share.
(So you really don't think I am exaggerating about this winter around here!)

The pic with the cute husband was taken yesterday
during our big day-long snow storm
when he went out for the THIRD TIME that day
to shovel our drive and the walkways.

He teaches early 1500s Italian/Degrassi- style sword fencing
as a huge hobby, so naturally he found an icicle rapier!

He knew it'd make me smile!

(He really is my Knight in Shining Winter Coat!)

This pretty blue skies backyard pic was taken two hours ago.
Glad the storm passed and it's sunny again!

It makes a huge difference with how one deals with a long winter!

True Spring, we anxiously await your arrival, please!

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY!

MAY LUCK BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!

Have a wonderful day and week!

As always, thanks for your visit!

  5. Oh boy, sorry you got the snow, but so glad we didn't! That icicle truly looks like a mean weapon (for a few hours, anyway)! What a totally cute, themed vignette you have Michele! I think I'd have to foster those babies just a little longer if I had been the picker. ;)

  6. What a sweet surprise giveaway, Michele. Boy do you have the snow! We still have it on the ground and only had ice yesterday. Today was in the 40s, so there's been a lot of melting going on. Wow, what a huge icicle your husband is holding. Glad to know he's a good guy--that could be a weapon. ♥

  7. I'm sure that a murder mystery was written about just such a rapier... That's a great photo!

Sweet St. Pat's items...they do look like spring!

  9. Hi Michele, first, sweet giveaway and yes they would look great at my place. Second, you won't believe it but I tooking fencing in college had loved the course. Third, just last week I was thinking about a St Patrick's post if I am up to it and your gorgeous Irish dishes came to my mind and so I hope you create something beautiful to show with them. I had my second knee replacement on Feb 5 so haven't felt up to blogging. Hope to do something for St Pattys.

  13. Might be time to get the "Knight" a snow blower!

    1. He will have none of it, Karen! We have 2 acres as well and he pushes a lawn mower. He says it keeps him healthy and fit and he won't do it until/unless he must. I would love to get him a snow blower- but I think he's rather have room for his anvils and forge! Yes he makes his own armor too - also a very good blacksmith hobbyist! He is a man of many talents! : = )

  19. So very kind of you to initiate a give-away. I love the items: perfect for St. Patrick's decorating and I've become an herbel tea drinker lately since coffee is a no-no for me now, so that precious teapot would come in handy! Your area looks beautiful covered in snow and it's always good to have a "knight" defending the castle! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  20. Wonderful giveaway, Michele! Sorry I can't enter but that's OK. I know shipping is expensive and here in Canada, it is unreal. You do have a lot of snow. I have mountains all around our house. I haven't really shared any pictures. It looks like it would never be possible to see green grass again. But surely by the end of April most of it will be gone. Thanks for joining me for tea.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  21. Michele, you sweet thing; always paying it forward! Love the sweet shamrock goodies! On Sunday in church our leaders asked us to pray for those who are getting so much snow. I hope prayers will soon be answered! We've hardly had a winter, but have received some well needed snow the last couple of days. Too bad you can't bundle it up and send it our way. lol! Thank goodness for those knights in shining armor! Thanks for offering this lovely give away!
    hugs,
