As much as I ADORE white baby boo pumpkins
and neutrals for autumn.....
my favorite fall tablescapes are always
rich and warm and luscious.
Gold, rust, orange, cranberry, brown, ivory and green
all come together in a wonderful mesh of warmth.
It just says "get cosy, and please stay awhile" to me!
Wood, twigs, ceramic, glass, metal, raffia, cotton
all intermingle to add interest and texture.
Thanksgiving and Christmas
are two of the best holiday times
to set out our shiny gold flatware.
No meal is complete around here
without a teapot set close by.
The saucers are under the teapot
and the matching creamer and sugar
is waiting for teatime on the table.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Over to the left is the paper machet pumpkin my youngest made
And inside it is the paper flowers and below it is the doily
my eldest made. All three are treasured past birthday gifts.
(BTW the tea sisters slumber party weekend was GREAT!)
More on that soon, I promise.
The doily underneath the teaset was a recent gift
from my Karen, a tea society sister.
Karen also gave me this awesome metal birdie box.
I was given the best gifts, and will eventually work
them all in posts, just not all this time.
Little hints of harvest are a subtle nod
to this wonderful season!
This metal Saint Emilion metal canister
means a lot to me because my father and I
toured that historic French winery in the mid 90s.
My cousin gave my father this silver overlay decanter
and my father gave it to me at the end of his days;
he knew how much I adored it.
It always comes out for Autumn - the colours are perfect.
Oh my goodness, Karen also gave me that Ruby Pear.
I guess this post needs to be dedicated to her!
To know why she gave me/us a ruby pear
check out this post.
As always, thank you for your visit!
