It's cooled down finally and is feeling like FALL!
I now have 4 large bins of autumn decor items
sitting in my living room needing to be opened!
Fall is my very favorite time of year-
but never at the cost of wishing my life
or summertime away!
It flies past fast enough without trying, doesn't it?
I just wanted to say hello and share a few of my favorite pics
from the past for you (and for me) to get inspired....
and let you know I will be finally putting away summer
and let you know I will be finally putting away summer
and welcoming fall into our home.
I love opening my seasonal decor boxes -
it's almost like Christmas...the joy of discovering
things I forgot about owning....such as my sweet little

things I forgot about owning....such as my sweet little
corn husk autumn harvest doll.
I absolutely love hosting autumn tea parties -
they're not as "old fashioned" as my spring ones,
but tea never tastes better than when
there's a chill in the air!
Ah the wonderful warm scents of Autumn-
cinnamon, clove, orange, mums....
cinnamon, clove, orange, mums....
And the rich colours of autumn....golds, rusts, browns....
As always, thank you for your visit!

Hi Michele,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your teapot and matching teacup! How pretty they are for Autumn. The corn husk doll is really sweet too. I wish I could hold on to Summer myself. Our Falls turn cold very quickly and then the winter is here. I'm a warm weather gal. Lovely photos from the past you have shared. Thank you for joining me for Tea Time and have a splendid week.
PS~ We filled up our bird feeder last night after the birdies went to bed and it's empty again this evening! That's how many of those little feathered friends we have. They just sit there and eat until it's all gone!
Blessings,
Sandi
Gorgeous past Fall images at your lovely home dear Michelle. I specially love the Autumn teapot and teacup to match, such a beautiful pattern! Autumn was my fave time of year in my home town NYC and it's still is, as our weather now it's just like Fall in NY.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.
FABBY
It looks like you have lots of inspiration to get you in the Fall mood! You always have such pretty teacups & teapots!
ReplyDeleteI love that corn husk doll. It's just the essence of fall in the country to me.
ReplyDeleteFall is my very favorite time of the year, too. I love everything about it and don't want to squander a moment. We don't have a chill in the air yet, but we have a distinct fall "feeling" if you stop long enough to feel it.
I decorated for fall a couple weeks ago. I don't have very many fall decorations, but I love getting out what I do have. I also count my front door as part of my decor. It's a deep, rich red, so it is just perfect for fall---and for Christmastime as well.
ReplyDeleteOur nights are definitely saying fall, but days this week have been in the high 80's. It had cooled down to the 70's last week, but summer has made another visit this week.
Blessings,
Patti
What lovely photos of Fall, Michele. Your corn husk doll is so pretty and I do love your teacup and teapot. Enjoy the cooler temperatures with your tea. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful fall inspiration, Michele. I just love that little doll, and I have to say that the pretzels look yummy too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the corn husk doll, all your photo's are wonderful.....the pretels in the first photo look delish, was wondering what they were dipped in, or what kind are they if store bought?
ReplyDeleteBought them at one of my favorite little boutiques called The Morgan House.....dyed white chocolate. : - ) And I recall them being very very tasty!
DeleteLots of eye candy here, Michele! The sweets in the first photo look so tempting! And the corn husk doll stole my heart! I love fall, too, I think I may even stop my yearly "downsizing" and use all my goodies in the bin!

I have very few fall decorations..but a whole closet full of Christmas....:O)
Hi Michele: I have to say you made my heart smile to learn that you have large bins for Fall, me too! I have bins for each month. Don't tell anyone. It is like Christmas when a new month comes along. We have a lot in common. Hugs, Martha
ReplyDeleteLove your fall collage. The fall teaset is always a favorite when you have it out. I have a bin myself, but it's only half emptied at the moment...maybe tomorrow I'll get to the rest. But the wreath came up and went up on Sept. 1st! Thanks for sharing your lovely fall items and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Hi Michele! I have been missing all my blogging friends and will be trying to make time to post and comment! Things are still bumpy but we are surviving! With that being said, I love the tea cup and teapot! I have already pulled out all the Autumn decorations. I hope to post it soon! Take Care. Monica
ReplyDeleteAs always you are a pleasure to visit, with such beautiful teacups and saucers to look at and some inspirational photos of Autumn decorations.

ReplyDeleteAll your fall goodies are inspiring. I have started to put out a few things. Loved the tea cup and teapot with cones and berries.
ReplyDeleteOh Michele, I definitely hope I can come visit you some day and have tea with you! Love that teapot -- I've never seen one like it. And the corn husk doll is perfect! Isn't it nice that it's cooled down here in our region? I am absolutely loving it, and wish time would slow down. You're right, so many good scents this season too with nutmeg and cloves and pumpkin . . .
ReplyDeleteHello dear Michele! Your pictures are so pretty and I just love the Autumn Harvest Doll - did you make her?
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day, sweet lady!
Bought her years ago at church's Craft Bazaar- so one of my acquaintances made her.
DeleteBeautiful inspiration, Michele, for the upcoming crisp and cozy season of amber glow. Your corn husk doll is darling and I'm sure is the most charming hostess at your autumn teas!

Like you I have some boxes of fall decor, but I haven't even brought them downstairs yet ... but I am definitely feeling the pull of fall, wanting pumpkin and spice teas, apple tea bread, etc. It really is an enchanting season, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling very inspired now!
