Right after Easter I was putting away
my tablescape dishes, etc.
when I simply stopped myself.....
And decided to keep some things out....
I had the "bones" out already, so the transition was easy
to making and keeping nice natural neutral, and light spring table.
I changed out my plates and the centerpiece -
and also added my wonderful lion's head soup bowls.
I also kept the topiaries out- use them all spring.
(They work so well in so many places in our home.)
My centerpiece is actually more Easter-y than the one
I used for Easter, but still spring-y enough to use here.
I just love this wire crown cage with a little nest on top.
I bought it when I was shopping in Indianapolis when
visiting my tea society BFFs.
The little purple butterfly is from my friend Barb from
our women's club from a few years ago.
I didn't capture the lion's head very well here
but I love the juxtaposition of the sage and ivory china.
They work so beautifully together and are two
of my very favorite colors working in harmony.
Here's a close up of one of my ivory Spode cups and saucers.
Here is my Easter tablescape to compare if you missed it.
As always, thank you for your visit!
♥

ReplyDeleteYour Spode set is just beautiful, Michele! Your table looks great ~ I love all the elements you've used, and especially that crown centerpiece. My hubby has been in Indy the past few days for work {home later} and then we are heading to PA tomorrow for my son's graduation from his Master's program. I am sure he will be glad when he can stop driving this weekend!

So pretty! I LOVE the Spode! So elegant. Aren't we happy it's spring? I almost can't stay inside. My blog time is way down so I haven't visited in awhile. I miss it, but I am getting more "real" time in and exercise and all that fun stuff that I tend to begrudge. I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day dearie!
ReplyDeleteO, dear friend.....when MY dining table grows up, I hope it looks just as pretty as yours.
