My son in law is English.
And he is always trying to get me to visit England.
(As if he has to try!)
Today he sent me this info and he knows me just too well!
I ♥ Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy!
Here is a youtube video of the info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MaLfojU2ww
Revelers walking around Hyde Park were bemused to be confronted with a 12 foot statue of Pride and Prejudice’s romantic hero Mr. Darcy today.
Part of a publicity stunt for a new TV Chanel called Drama, a seemingly soaked statue of the Jane Austen character stands submerged in The Serpentine. It is based on the BBC’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel and was commissioned after a poll found that it was regarded as the most memorable British drama moment of all time. Oscar winner Colin Firth played the brooding Mr. Darcy in the famed 1995 version.
Toby Crowther, lead sculptor on the project, said: “We took Colin Firth’s famous lake scene as a starting point for creating Mr Darcy but we also read the book and looked at performances of the brooding hero by Matthew Macfadyen, David Rintoul and even Laurence Olivier.

Here is a long bit of the lake scene from the BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. Don't watch if you haven't watched or read the book yet - it is a spoiler! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hasKmDr1yrA
