The other day I posted how excited I am/was
about our daffodils blooming.
Well, yesterday between rain storms
I found that our pink tulips snuck their way
into the daffodil masses........
It is quite the thrill to see them again.
I ♥ that the drops of rain are still showing on them.
These haven't even opened up yet!
Nor have the deer munched on them yet either!
YAY!
All the flowers are droopy in these pics
due to that torrential downpour
the had just experienced.
The deer aren't the only ones who love these tulips......
We love them too because the bulbs were wedding favors
from our Autumn wedding almost 10 years ago.
They were wrapped in really neat cubed boxes
with bows and a hand tag that said
"Love Keeps Blooming"
along with the directions on how to plant the bulbs
and our wedding date.
So these planted in our first home together are the leftovers -
and yes....
Love is still blooming here at the Finch Rest!
As always, thanks for your visit!
Have a fabulous weekend!
♥

ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful and what a lovely idea to give bulbs as favours. x
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful idea for a favor. How sweet it must be to see them blooming year after year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet reminder of your wedding anniversary, Michele, and a pretty one as well! I have kept the tulips I bought at the grocery store {although all the petals fell off now} and I am going to unpot them, let them dry out and save them to plant in the Fall. I wanted to get some daffodils and more tulips in this Fall so that next Spring I can see some color as early as possible outside!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Michele! And you have a wonderful story behind them! May your tulips continue to multiply each year as well as your love!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I love pink tulips the best and yours are special Michele for what they represent. What a neat idea to give them to your guests the way you did. Because of our unusual weather last year I had hardly any tulips so I'll see if they're still there this year.

What a cute idea for a wedding favor - I love that! I adore tulips, but have not tried planting them, since the year that I planted 50 bulbs and none of them came up - ugh!! Yours are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are beautiful, Michele, and meaningful too! Good memories!

I did a little post on our first daffodils too Michele. I was so excited. And your tulips are just beautiful. I planted some tulips in January. I waited very late to plant them and didn't know if they had gotten enough cold weather to bloom but they are up and have buds in them. Forgot what color they are so it'll be neat to find out. My niece also gave bulbs as her wedding favors and mine are planted in the front garden. Bright and happy red and yellow ones. Such a sweet way to remember a wonderful day. xo
ReplyDeletePink Tulips blooming in your garden.......sigh !
ReplyDeleteIt is always too hot over here to plant Tulips, I never ever have much luck with them. Your tulips are a constant reminder of your special day and I think that is so very lovely.
I love knowing about your wedding-favor tulips, because the tulips in my garden were a wedding gift!
