I admit it!
I am Irish and really love shamrock china.
I have a fairly decent collection of shamrock china
I hope to share with you in the days ahead
as we draw nearer to a beloved holiday:
St. Patrick's Day!
Today I am sharing my collection
of fine china shamrock teacups.
Some of you may recognize them from last year
hope you don't mind my sharing them again.
♣
The pattern below I have 6 cups and saucers
with 6 matching salad/dessert plates.
I usually stack those plates on top of either white or green
dinner or luncheon size plates when hosting
a Shamrock Tea Party ....which, sadly I am not hosting this year.
Aren't all those tiny little shamrocks just as sweet as can be
inside and all around this cute set?
The gorgeous teacup below is one
of the very first china teacups I was ever gifted -
a precious gift from my eldest daughter.

Each set it just a little different than the others.
A bit like you and me, yes?
We are all connected, go together well, serving a purpose,
but are all just a little different and uniquely made.
I wrote about the one below on my last post,
but sharing a pic of it again because it didn't seem right to have
A Shamrock Tea Cup Collection post
and not include it with the others.
It would have made it incomplete somehow
had this one not been allowed to play with the others.
: - )
These teacups are just perfect to sip
with a nice strong black tea
such as Irish Breakfast!
As always, thank you for your visit!
Have a truly wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteMichelle, these shamrock teacups are so pretty! I like each one and can't believe I don't have one. I don't have any Irish in me but there is just something so fresh about the green shamrocks on the white background. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteGosh I never knew that there were so many varities of shamrock tea cups about. They certainly make an Irish gal's heart sing. I've got a wee bit of Irish in me, but in March, I think I'm Irish. ☺
ReplyDeleteAnd some days I can spell "varieties"...
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty, Michele! I'm sure you will enjoy using them in the days leading up to St. Patrick's Day even though you are not having your tea party.
ReplyDeleteHello Michele
ReplyDeleteWith so many shamrock teacups, is there a wee bit of Irish in you? A lovely collection that would look fabulous for tea in the garden in the summer as well.
Judith
Michele, I love your shamrock teacups, the second and third ones are my favorite, love the shape.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection you have, Michele. I really love that they are all so different, yet they go so beautifully together!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see shamrock china, it stops me in my tracks. Not being Irish myself, I don't own a single piece, but I do love it.
I'm Irish, too, Michele, and just love each of your teacups. It would be hard to choose a favorite for sure. You're so lucky to have such a variety. 🍀
ReplyDeleteHello Michele,
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed seeing your sweet shamrock teacups. The shamrocks are all so cute! I do have a wee bit of Irish in me but my hubby is half Irish and very proud of it too! Thanks for coming to tea and sharing your delightful teacups with us.
Blessings,
Sandi
I love your shamrock china. Each and every one is so beautiful. Somehow, a cup of tea tastes even better when it is drunk from such pretty china.

Hi Michele,
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet tea post. I love your pretty collection of shamrock patterns. Here they are really hard to find. And the Irish breakfast tea with this vibrant green wrapping made me smile. Thank you so much for this special tea time and HAPPY St. PATRICK'S DAY.
Best greetings, Johanna
Oh, Michele....you are a girl after my own heart! I'm Scotch-Ulster/Irish, and I love your collection. I've always wanted Shamrock china, but I don't have any. I have to enjoy others' (like yours). I love the variety of patterns you have, and we drink Irish Breakfast Tea almost everyday. :D

ReplyDeleteHi Michele: I love shamrocks too. I will share my next week. Have a wonderful week and thank you for your prayers. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteOMG! I've never seen a darling collection of shamrocks before. What fun party they would make! Thanks for the sweet word!
ReplyDeleteOh Michele. What a sweet collection of shamrock tea cups. You are blessed to have such a lovely and unique collection. You can host a shamrock party for me. Although I don't drink tea.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Dear Michele,
ReplyDeleteI love your collection of pretty teacups. I love shamrocks too! Thanks for sharing.
hugs,
Lisa
Dear Michele,
ReplyDeleteI have not stopped thinking about your post since I saw it. I LOVE all those teacups and I hope you put them on every year for us to see. They are wonderful. With St. Patrick's Day approaching, I have been thinking of adding to my meager collection of 2 1/2 (one is a demitasse). Ha. I did notice that you don't have any Belleek. Is that because all of your others are on a white background and the Belleek are cream colored?
I think I love the one from your daughter best. They are all so lovely together though and all so sweet.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this post.
Slainte, Ruthie
I love your shamrock collection and you were right to include your other pretty teacup.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
~Clara
What a grand collection! I have Irish heritage as well by birth and by marriage, doubly blessed, so I *need* a vintage shamrock teacup for my collection! These are adorable!
ReplyDeleteIrish Breakfast tea in one of your exquisite teacups seems extra special. I love that tea, and also your teacups. The second one you showed was my favorite. What did you serve besides tea at your Shamrock tea parties?
ReplyDeleteMichele. what a beautiful collection of teacups! Those shamrocks are so sweet. Thanks for sharing with your friends.

Hello Michelle,
ReplyDeleteYour Irish post today is lovely! All your cups are pretty! I love that you have all different makes of cups. I have one cup with clover on them. But then, I am not Irish like you! I pretend I am one day a year lol!
I don't think I have had Irish Breakfast tea, I must look for some.
Hugs,
Terri
Michele, your Irish teacups are all so lovely. I love each and every one and am sure they are all so special to you. Hope you are continuing to recovery from your surgery. We still have many inches of snow on the ground. The sun has been shining today so hope some of it is beginning to melt.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I love how you have more than one pattern and how they mix together.
ReplyDeleteYour shamrock tea cups are all so sweet.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI love your shamrock collection, I had a Belleek? teacup which was given to me as a gift once, but lost it in my moving back and forth to the UK. So sad, as it was both lovely and delicate!
Please come for a visit as I posted a thank you note to you today!
And thank you so very much I really love my new dish, it's such a wonderful gift!
Hugs! Keep warm,
Gigi
