One of my favvie friends, Judy, whom I have mentioned
a few times on my blog is back in town to have
Thanksgiving with her daughter!
So to me that was the perfect excuse reason to celebrate
and host a nice ladies tea luncheon yesterday.
I am so very thankful for my friends......
they are such a joy to be around.
Being together again was so nice -
and in an intimate setting
made for a most enjoyable afternoon!
The menu was pretty much vegetarian,
due to the guest of honour's preferred tastes.
Everything was made from scratch
cuz to me it always tastes so much better!
Naturally I forgot to take pics of the arranged food.
(Insert seriously angry face here.)
I could really kick myself about it -
I just can't seem to serve and also remember to take pics....
I forget every danged time. Seriously.
I really need to ask one of the guests to take them
BEFORE I get busy in the kitchen and forget-
if I could manage to just remember that, too!
I didn't even manage to get a pic of any teacups at my tea party, haha.
Epic blogger fail.
Sigh.
Epic blogger fail.
Sigh.
The favors were little glass oval shaped votive candles
made by the Colonial Candle Company of Cape Cod.
They're just the cutest perfect little favor sized candles!
I am truly thankful for all my true friends,
but for this tea special hugs go out to:
Barb
Carole
Deb
Judy
Kathy
And a big thankful hug to all of YOU dear readers -
wonderful friends that you are!
wonderful friends that you are!
Thank you for your visit!

What a beautiful tea for friends, Michele! The menu sounds perfect...mmmmmm! I know they all appreciated your cooking. I think I have those same wooden candle holders, bought years ago in Columbus. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
Hope to see you on my blog:)
What a wonderful idea, Thankful for Friends Tea! Any time of the year is a good time for this. And I know how difficult it is to get food pictures. Once the party gets going, the last thing you think about is taking pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful festive table...wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving, Michele.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely table! I am sure everyone enjoyed it!

Hi Michele,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice words on my blog. Music has an unique way of connecting people and making them experience the most profound emotions.
I am so happy for you having such fun time with your friends. You are the tea party Queen!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Lucky friends! Your table is so pretty and that menu sounds delicious! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYour friends are very blessed to know you! What a lovely table. (I have similar problems with taking photos of the food when I am trying to serve it. I do not believe that I have ever once succeeded actually.)
ReplyDeleteOH.....HOW BEAUTIFUL.......YOUR COLORS ARE LOVELY.....AND YOUR MENU SOUNDS DELICIOUS.......YOU DID A NICE JOB.......RIZZI
ReplyDeleteThe votives are a great party favor. I'm doing two "A Cup of Christmas Tea" luncheons in two weeks, and I now have a great inspiration for a party favor...thanks to you. I think that I'll hit the antique stores this week and see if I can find an assortment of demitasse cups to hold a candle each. I'll tie a place card on each cup handle, and voila! Thanks for the inspiration! Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteit looks like a beautiful table! I love those little sugar cubes. they are such a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming tea party! Forgetting to take important shots, has happened to me many, many times! It's particularly vexing when you've spent a lot of time working on whatever it is you forgot to photograph. But, I guess, the real point of it all, is to entertain, so our heads are right where they are supposed to be - taking care of our guests.
ReplyDeleteI love the party favor and the little note that you attached to it. Darling sugar cubes!
This looks like it was so nice. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteMichele, what a sweet get together with friends. I don't know what I would do without my friends. So happy to have blog friends like you also. I would not call this an epic fail at all. The table and favors were lovely and I loved how you printed out the menu. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
Just beautiful! Even without the teacups, ha! (And I do the same thing at my teas/luncheons. What we *really* need is an event photographer. It's so hard to be chief cook and bottle washer AND the photog.) I'll bet your guests felt very loved after such a thoughtful time together!
