How I adore a pretty delicate teacup and awesome tea book!
Today I am sharing with you two of my FAVORITES!
My awesome tea book I won straight from its AUTHOR -
our very own bloggin friend/guru and tea expert ANGELA McRAE
of the blog Tea With Friends!
This is an awesome book full of rich history and interesting facts
and wonderful food and pics from yester-years of department store tearooms.
She left no stone unturned!
(Sorry about all the glare, I am really not very good with camera some days.)
This book would make the BEST GIFT
for anyone in your world who loves tea and American tearoom history.
How about as a Christmas present? Start early - he or she will
absolutely love this book! Just write Angela to learn more about how to order - you won't be disappointed, I promise!
I WILL CHERISH THIS BOOK ALWAYS!
Will be taking a blogging break for a bit but will back soon.

You were the perfect person to win that book, Michele! Love your teacups!
ReplyDeleteHello Michele
ReplyDeleteI love this book and bought it from Angela when she first posted about it. I think gals from the US would be able to identify with the tea rooms as being from Canada, most of the names were unknown to me. But, the historical facts and recipes made it worthwhile for me to read.
Enjoy your break.
Hugs,
Judith
Lovely win...it really looks like a delightful book.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice blogging break, a sweet weekend, and don't
forget your camera.
What a great win! It's so "you".

Sandi

I can see why those are two of your favorites. When I saw the title of the cute book I couldn't help myself. I had to "Awwww." Dainty Dining. How sweet is that. Beautiful limoge teacup and saucer!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blog break. I'm just coming back.....finally. We just literally drove in from a 10 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix,Ariz. Believe me we didn't let any grass grow under our feet driving home. (smile) Our daughter had to have surgery last Monday so we went down to help her. 104 degrees everyday was just a little bit too warm for Sept. (smile) But it sure is fall here.
Hope to be doing a whole facelift of my blog like soon....well er bloglift. LOL LOL Have a good break. Look forward to seeing you when you get rested up!!
Luv ya girlfriend!!

Congratulations on winning your friends book! It looks really great.
ReplyDeleteYour tea cup today is stunning! I adore the turquoise trim around the rim, it just looks so amazing next to the roses! And of course, adding the gold touches really sets it all off perfectly!
Hugs,
Terri
Have a lovely break!
Thanks so very much for the kind words about my book, Michele, and I think your photos are simply gorgeous! Hope you get some R&R on your break, and we'll "see" you when you get back! XOXO
ReplyDeleteLove this teacup with the pretty pink roses. The book looks like it would be interesting to read and look at the pretty pictures. Hope all is well with you and you can enjoy your time away. When you return, you will find me at A COZY PLACE CALLED HOME instead of Cozy Home Scenes. I had to close it due to pressure from a big company concerning a trademark. All is well but will take time and help from my friends to help spread the news. Take care and come back when you are ready.
