I have the blues today. I recently lost a friend and I miss her. She is on my mind heavily today, and my heart is weary from her absence. I miss her daily notes. I miss her humor. I miss her unexpected thoughts. I miss the looking forward to more.
So I got out a trusty strong stoneware teapot and brewed some tea, which always makes everything seem better. I only have one mug left out of 4 to this sturdy plain once-was-a-set-now-just-a-memory tea set.
This tea set reminds me of my friend and me. There's only one left now that once was a set. Wonder if my mug misses its mates. Bet it does. Bet it's feelin' blue inside and out! Just like I am.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel because I lost my very best friend too. It's been years now but I still miss her every day. The memories, I cherish, as you will too. God bless you, my friend.
I'm glad you have a tea set which reminds you of her. She would like that.

I'm sure your friend would want you to get more mugs and make a "new to you" set, if you know what I mean. Here's your chance to be to someone what she was to you!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that sad news. Bet your friend is happy of where she is right now.
