Today I had a friend over for a simple tea. There was nothing fancy to it - simple frosted brownies, blueberry zucchini bread and Earl Grey was served by the fire. It was nice visiting for an hour or so and catching up after the busy crazy holidays. I didn't want any more time to pass, it will be February before we know it. We enjoyed the warmth we were sitting near, the warmth of the wonderful tea, and the warmth of a good friendship.
I used a simple everyday white teapot and everyday white dishes. I got out my very favorite small white embossed ceramic pedestal serving piece. I used one of my vintage white embroidered dinner napkins on a white ceramic serving tray.
This beautiful heart-shaped cake server was a gift from a tea friend of mine named Debbie, who I just learned is soon moving away to a different state. This I shall always cherish, and shall remember her always....every time I get it out for tea time.

ReplyDeleteHi Michele,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea for two! Love the white theme. The teapot and the cake server are lovely and the teacups look pretty too, what I can see of them. The sweets look yummy. Thanks so much for sharing this with us and have a delightful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
I love your header and a simple, elegant white tea setting makes my heart sing. I appreciate so many patterns and settings, but the simplicity of white with a few table adornments is classic, and for anytime, every time.
ReplyDeleteSounds so cozy and looks beautiful! Catch up time with friends is the best. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
